1. Our Commitment
Piper Moretti Real Estate is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. I am continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure my website is easy to use for all visitors.
2. Conformance Status
I strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
3. Measures Taken
Accessibility is built into how this site is made, not bolted on afterwards:
- Semantic structure: Every page uses a single H1 and a logical heading order, which is checked automatically on each build. Assistive technology can navigate the site by heading.
- Keyboard access: All interactive content, including the collapsible question panels, works without a mouse, and a visible focus outline shows where you are. A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard or screen-reader user reaches.
- Alt text: Descriptive alternative text on images that carry meaning. Decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them rather than reading a filename.
- Readable contrast and type: Body text is set at a comfortable size with contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds.
- Reduced motion: Where a page uses video, it stops automatically for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.
- No pop-ups or interstitials: Nothing covers the page or steals focus while you are reading.
4. Third-Party Content
This site runs without advertising, analytics, or visitor tracking, so there are very few third parties involved at all.
The exceptions are the contact and request forms, which are processed by Netlify, and the video library, which shows thumbnails hosted by YouTube and links out to it. Videos are not embedded, so no third-party player loads unless you choose to follow a link. I do not control the accessibility of YouTube's own site.
5. Known Limitations
Some material predates this site and may not yet meet the standard above. In particular, older blog posts may contain images whose alternative text is thin, and some documents offered as downloads are PDFs that have not been remediated for screen readers. If you need any document in an accessible format, ask and I will provide one.
6. Feedback & Contact
I welcome your feedback on the accessibility of pipermorettirealestate.com. If you encounter a barrier, or have difficulty using any part of this site, contact me directly and tell me which page and what happened:
- Phone: 424-218-6624
- Email: hello@astrarealtycollective.com
- Mailing address: 407 N. Pacific Coast Hwy, Unit 1077, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
I aim to respond to accessibility inquiries within 2 business days. If you need information that is on this site in another format — large print, plain text, or read aloud over the phone — say so and I will arrange it at no cost.
7. Assessment Approach
This statement reflects a self-assessment. The site has not yet been evaluated by an independent accessibility auditor. Automated checks run on every build, and I review the site manually with keyboard navigation. If you believe something falls short of the standard described here, I want to know.
