How much is my home worth? It’s one of the most common questions homeowners ask, and it’s often the first thing people search online when they’re thinking about selling or refinancing. Unfortunately, the answers they find aren’t always accurate.

Online home value estimates rely on algorithms and public data, but they can’t see inside your home or account for upgrades, layout, condition, or buyer demand in your neighborhood. Two homes with the same square footage can have very different values based on factors automated tools simply don’t capture.
To accurately answer the question “how much is my home worth,” it takes a combination of market data and local expertise. Recent comparable sales, current competition, location, and buyer behavior all play a role in determining true market value.
